Accessibility, Disclaimer & Privacy Statement
Accessibility
The City of Port St. Lucie Police Department is committed to serving the needs of the public and its goal is to ensure access to information is available for all. Following the requirements of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, the City incorporates accessibility design standards to assist individuals with a disability with access to its website information.
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines three levels of conformance (Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA) for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. The Port St. Lucie Police Department's website partially conforms with WCAG 2.0 level AA, meaning that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. The City routinely tests its website using web accessibility evaluation tools. The City continually trains staff on compliance with the current accessibility standards.
